A tiny little zoo

Very happy about opening in Broströms kafé! An excellent place to hang out and meet people. 

It was a gorgeous day - sunny september at it´s best. 

Kulturnatten is a great happening with events taking place all around Uppsala. 

I saw a BMX show, some knights fighting in full body armour (!), 

a great singersongwriter performace + that we had a lovely dinner. 

Way to go Uppsala!

Preparing exhibition

Will be showing masks and small animaltrofes at Broströms kafé in Uppsala for a month. 

Opening tomorrow from 13 - 17.

Very very happy about my current exhibition at Manos. It was a great Thursday last week, 

filled with friends, flowers and birds.

 Happy and overwhelmed! 

Karin sure is a sweetheart and I could move in with her any day. 

I love that creative-fika-craft-beauty mentality, it sure is nourishing. 

The birds stay there until April 12th, unless they fly away in the spring air.

Inspiring as always

Artipelag

What a place!! A new art centre- Artipelag -  that opened outside of Stockholm not too long ago. I was there during after dark but will definately go back in daylight.

Puppet exhibition

There is a wonderful exhibition at Stadsmuseet in Stockholm. Michael Meschke - one of the best puppeteers in Sweden is showing parts of his lifeproduction. Until January 2014. I have admired his work for years - a mustgo!

Garnapa

Found this gorgeous exhibition at Walmstedska gården in Uppsala. 

I have seen her on Instagram - the superknitter named Garnapa. 

Lovely place, lovely knits + great coffee.

Handicrafters of the world, unite and take over!! 

Vårsalongen

A lovely sunny sunday with the artgroup!

We went to Liljevalchs Vårsalong, an annual exhibition where whoever wants can send in art and a jury look at the pieces and decide who can be shown or not. 

A wonderful mix of materials and styles - inspiring indeed. 

We finished with a lovely lunch at Blå Porten close by. 

Arty as should. 

Ice sculptures

Came across this very particular exhibition of ice sculptures in Uppsala. Such a hard material and yet so fragile, already started to melt here and there. Can´t say I am that sorry though - spring is on it´s way. 

Slow art

Went to Nationalmuseum for the very inspiring exhibition Slow art with

concentration on arts with a long creation process. Amazed.

The whole museum closes in February for a massive restauration so hurry hurry.
